The history of Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) began with the formation of Trim Systems in 1997. At that time, Trim Systems was the result of the acquisition and merging of ASC and Landmark Industries.  Mervin Dunn, CVG’s CEO, joined Trim Systems in 1999. Under his leadership Trim Systems strengthened its bottom line performance by improving quality, delivery and customer service.  That allowed Trim Systems to grow through the acquisition of National Seating, KAB Seating and Sprague Devices in 2000.  In August of 2004, the management team took the company public and changed the name from Trim Systems to the Commercial Vehicle Group.  Over the last 10 years, continuing growth was achieved organically and though additional global acquisitions such as Monona Wire in the United States and Mexico and C.I. E. B. and PEKM in the Czech Republic.
